There’s no pelham place like home

Nestled on nearly two wooded acres, this run-down “diamond in the rough” was begging to be brought back to life. Staying faithful to the Cape Cod style of this house was easy and rewarding, and started with the installation of a cedar roof. Grey siding and a light blue front door mimic the New England flavor as well. The original, random-width hardwood floors were restored with a light stain and clear final coat. White cabinetry throughout was a must-have to add to the light and airy feeling of this quaint bungalow. Leathered granite countertops brought it up-a-notch and the light colored tile in the bathrooms created a spa-like but classic feel to this special house. Neutral paint colors, wider moldings, solid core doors with dark hardware and modern furnishings all added to the appeal of today’s contemporary style. “It was a pleasure to renovate this house and a greater pleasure to have sold it to a family who can call it ‘home’”.
